Greetings folks,

Well, a long first day of MEAP is finished. No MEAP tomorrow, but we will be going on Thursday again from 9:15am till 10:30am. That will be it for this week. Same schedule again next week.

With that being said. No NEW homework tonight. Check out last night's blog. There is a Math assignment due tomorrow and a Reading assignment due on Friday.

Monday, Oct. 12

Greetings one and all,

Get ready everyone, MEAP starts tomorrow! We will begin with the Reading Session 1 tomorrow from 12:30 till 1:30, then finish it up from 1:40 till 2:40. I know, I know, crazy day, but the kids are ready!

Homework:

*NOTHING DUE TOMORROW!

1. Math: Hard cover book pages 65-67 (answers get written in your math notebooks) problems 1-15, and 22-31

2. Literature Circle Extended Response Question (due Friday)

*Also, Keelyn Bole would like to provide the class with Pizza from Little Caesar's next week Monday, Oct. 19. So plan accordingly for lunches!

Greetings everyone,

Nice day in class today. Here is the homework:

1. Ultimate School Projects due tomorrow. (project and writing that goes with it)

2. Math: pages 37 and 38

3. Social Studies: Test on Monday!

4. Some students did not finish the Science writing and they MAY need to do it for Monday?

*If students want to bring $1 to wear a hat in school tomorrow they may, the $ goes to the Make A Wish Foundation.

Hey everyone,

I've got a bunch of stuff today even before the homework for tonight, so here we go:

1. We have announced our MEAP testing schedule
*Tuesday, Oct. 13 Reading Session 1
*Thursday, Oct 15 Reading Session 2
*Tuesday, Oct. 20 Math
*Thursday, Oct. 22 Science and Social Studies

2. I just copied the Math Parents Guides for Unit 2. This is meant FOR PARENTS ONLY! In it you will find answer keys to the HOMEWORK pages only. The REMEMBERING pages are meant to be challenges for the kids to check what they've already learned. Make sure you get this from your kids.

Homework:

1. Math pages 35 and 36 (due Thursday)
2. Ultimate School Projects due this week Friday (several have already been turned in and look GREAT!)
3. Science: Science City Writing (due Thursday)
4. Social Studies: Pre-test tomorrow, Test Monday

Monday, Oct. 5

Greetings One and All,

First of all hang in there another day on the official chaperone for camp list. I have a ton of names and only a few can be "official", so I'll announce ASAP, but there are a couple variables, I appreciate your patience.

Next, on Friday's note home I said I'd send the Math tests home today, but the kids fixed them up for partial credit and I need to score them again tonight, so they will be home on Tuesday, not today.

Here is the homework:

Math: page 33 (due Tuesday)

Reading: Ultimate School stuff due on Friday, Oct. 9
*maybe a group finishing their literature circle reading.

Greetings one and all,

The Math tests will not be graded until tomorrow and the students will not get them back until Monday. You will see those tests Monday night and I am asking you to initial those tests and return them on Tuesday next week. Just giving you a heads up.

Homework:

1. Ultimate School (due Oct. 9)

2. Literature Circle Reading (some groups assigned reading for tonight, check with your sons/daughters as to what book they are reading and what their current reading assignment is. They have a blue sheet that lists the breakdown of their reading over the 3 1/2 weeks and also the final project that they will work on as a group.

3. Fundraiser sheets can also be turned in tomorrow as well.
