Wednesday, September 7

Greetings one and all,

The word for the day was STAMINA. We worked hard to today, trying to get back into "school" shape. Both reading and writing were tricky today. I asked the kids to work for about 10-15 minute stretches. They are growing and getting their brains back in shape and it's looking good. Thanks for all your summer efforts.

The homework for today:

1. Please turn in your school information packets by Friday.
*Many came in today, thanks.

2. Both the Accelerated Reader goal sheets and the communication information from the Mr. Klanderman's Handbook need to be torn out and handed in by Monday.

3. Student's should take home their writer's notebooks and decorate them with personal items by Monday.

4. Math: we had a short review of multiple and factors worksheet that is due Thursday (tomorrow)

That's it for today.

1st Day of School 2011 (Sept. 6)

Welcome one and all,

I am so excited to have you in fifth grade this year here at Peach Plains.

This will basically be our homework board brought directly to your computer each and everyday. This way you can get information from your son or daughter as well as hear it directly from me.

The only homework tonight is the usual information packet that goes home at the beginning of each and every year as well as one other thing so here it goes:

1. Information packet (only pages that are necessary for you) returned by this week Friday, September 9

2. Your student should bring in an item that is important to them/sentimental to them tomorrow.
*Please, try not to bring in things that are fragile/easily breakable.

That's all for today, thanks for a great 1st day and I look forward to a great year with you.

Mr. K
