What a busy weekend! The sleepover was a blast. Thank you to all those parents who helped make it such a success.

  • Reading: many students have reading to do for their book club
We begin new units in Social Studies and Science this week. Stay tuned!
Remember, our Move It trip to White Pines is Friday. Students will need a sack lunch or can purchase hot lunch at White Pines.

We're all set for an awesome sleepover tonight!
  • Math: no HW (unless they didn't finish p.161-162 in class)
  • Soc.St: They will begin the Southwest region next week.
  • Science: Unit 8, Organisms and their Environment begins next week
  • Reading Clubs: Some students have formed reading clubs and have reading goals to meet over the weekend.
Special Notes:
  • Coins For Kids all next week
  • Sleepover kids will need a good snack before swimming. Pizza is not until we return to school at 8:30 pm.
  • Next Friday, May 2, is our Move-Up Day trip to White Pines.
  • No School May 7 (teachers professional development)

We have had two great days of hard work and wonderful focus. This has been really helpful as we pound out the last units in our various subject areas.
  • Math: H+R p.159-160
  • Social Studies: Region booklet due tomorrow, test tomorrow
  • Science: Test was today.
  • Words: spelling quizzes are tomorrow
Sleepover items (sleeping bags, pillows, etc) can be dropped off in our classroom anytime today or tomorrow.

We are starting our Coins for Kids drive tomorrow. Bring in that change!! (We'll take dollars too...)

  • Science: States of Matter test is tomorrow (Thurs.) and vocab cards are due!
  • Social Studies: Unit 8 test is Friday and regions booklet is due.
  • Words: Quizzes on Friday
  • SLEEPOVER: Overnight things can be dropped off in our room beginning tomorrow.

Other News:
  • We had a great presentation from the High School LINKS group on autism.
  • Plans are all set for our visit to White Pines next Friday, May 2.
  • We will be collecting Coins for Kids all next week to support the Children's Advocacy Center of Ottawa County. If we raise the most money we earn a special class party!!

  • Social Studies: Midwest section of regions booklet due Friday; test Friday
  • Science: States of Matter test Thursday; vocab cards due also
Other:
  • Orchestra meeting at White Pines tonight
  • Sleepover items may be dropped off at Peach Plains in our room beginning Thursday. Students will not be able to bring sleeping bags and pillows on the bus back to Peach. Small swim bags with a change of clothes and a plastic bag for suit and towel is recommended.

Welcome back! I hope everyone enjoyed their break and is ready to finish the year strong.

  • Math: no HW (We took our pretest today.)
  • Writing: We are beginning a new poetry unit and celebrating our informational books.
  • Spelling: Words Their Way, study, sort, tests Friday
  • Social Studies: Midwest map test is this Friday, April 18. The unit test will be next week (April 25) and the region booklet will also be due then.
  • Science: The states of matter test will be sometime next week. Vocab cards will also be due then.
  • Reading: Sleepover projects are all due this Friday. No exceptions. Those earning the sleepover will receive an invitation and release form this Friday for the April 25 event.

  • Autism Awareness: Wear blue on Wednesdays in April to support our friends with autism. Finish your puzzle piece and return to Mrs. Duplissis.
B-E-E Club members have a pizza lunch with Mrs. Braymer tomorrow to celebrate a great season.
