First of all, thanks to so many who came and picked up their Yankee Candle orders so soon yesterday. You guys are all awesome!

Thursday:

1. Band/Choir/Orchestra concert in the gym tomorrow AM (probably starting around 9:10)

2. Party in the afternoon starting at 2:55

3. Literature Circle reading???? (check with your kids on how this one is coming)

Greetings one and all,

Here is the information you need heading into the break:

1. No Math tonight, we finished the Unit 4 test today (Unit 5 will kick off in the new year)

2. Make sure you work on your Literature circle book, as well as your independent reading choice.
*20 minutes

3. Candle orders are in. PLEASE PICK THEM UP NO LATER THAN THURSDAY this week.

4. The K Auction is looking great. All donated items need to be in by Friday AM. Thanks again.

Monday, December 13

Greetings on the Monday before the Holiday Break,

A busy Monday. My daughter in Kindergarten refers to her Thursday's as HEAVY DUTY WORK DAY because they have NO breaks, well Monday is HEAVY DUTY WORK DAYS for us.

Here is tonight's homework:

1. Study for tomorrow's Unit 4 Math Test
*There was home work covering the circumference, radius, diameter, and pi, but most got it done in class.
*The packet is a gold packet of notes.

2. Do your 20 minutes of reading tonight

*Make sure to note that this coming Thursday AM will be the band/choir/orchestra Holiday concert in the gym. It is open to parents, but the gym fills up fast with the entire school in there as well. You are welcome to come, but come around 9 AM if you want a seat.

Hey everyone,

It's noon and I'm heading home here on the 1/2, my wife has a meeting and my littlest one has the flu, so I gotta get some Daddy time in. Mrs. Merriman has the kids well taken care of this afternoon.

Here is the homework:

1. Only working on your independent reading. (A couple literature circles might decide to require some reading tonight as well.)

2. Study for Tuesday's Math test, a TON of vocabulary words!

Here is the homework for tonight:

1. Math: pages 99 and 100 (some of the assignment is extra credit, and I shortened the back Remembering page)
*Mini Quiz tomorrow
*Test next Tuesday
*You SHOULD ALL see the yellow/gold note packets of vocabulary terms home each night through next Tuesday

Here is tonight's homework: (a little bit of a quiet night, especially compared to last night)

1. Math: pages 97 and 98 (due Wed)
*Mini Quiz on Thursday.
*Unit 4 test next Tuesday
*Students should be taking home their gold colored notes each night

2. Science: if you did not finish the Moon Phase interview from yesterday, do so tonight

*Tomorrow we will head down to the book fair in the Quiet area. If you wish to bring some $$$ from home you may, but it is your responsibility, and certainly not something required. This is a PTA fundraiser.

1. Word Sorts: This was the first day of word study. Each student should bring home their new word sort to practice tonight.

2. Reading: Literature Circles (check with your student to find out what their group decided to do for homework)

3. Math: 93 and 94 (due Friday)

4. Science: if you're not done with your vocab cards you need to finish those for Monday
