Here is the focus for a Wednesday night:

2 Tests tomorrow to be studied for!!!!

Math:  Unit 8...heavy vocabulary focus.

Acute Angles, Obtuse Angles, Right Angles, Scalene, Isosceles, Equilateral Triangles, Line, Line Segment, Endpoints, Vertex, Ray, Parallelogram, Rhombus, Trapezoid, Parallel lines, Perpendicular Lines....etc.

Social Studies:  Unit 12 to be looked over from your text book.  Regions booklet also due!

Here is the homework for a busy LAST REAL week of Fourth Grade:

1.  Math:  pages 187 and 188 for all, due tomorrow.
*Mini quiz tomorrow
*Final Test over Unit 8 Thursday

2.  Social Studies:
Test over Unit 12 also Thursday (STUDY)!!
Regions Booklet also due that day

3.  Science:  Presentations all week with Mrs. Braymer over our invasive species assignments

4.  Wednesday, June 3 is the Klanderman Auction
*Thanks for the items that are already in, but we could use a few more!

*Survivor Challenge this FRIDAY
*What's your color?  Locate your shirt!!
*You'll need Sunscreen and your own WATER BOTTLE!!!
*Lunch is provided!

*Don't forget the Awards and Cake Ceremony on Thursday, June 4 around 10ish!

Greetings,

Here is the homework and information for a Tuesday:

1.  Math:  pages 181 and 182 (due Wednesday)
*Mini Quiz in class tomorrow.  Review Equilateral, Isosceles, and Scalene Triangles.  Plus, know your acute, obtuse, and right angles.

2.  Social Studies:  Western Region Map test Friday
*Practice Test tomorrow

3.  Writing:  Make sure your purple graphic organizer for your Fiction story is completed, so you can begin your Rough Draft tomorrow.

*Extra Bag for early desk cleaning.

*Don't forget that May 29th is the Survivor Day Challenge.  All are welcome to attend at Pott. Park.  Festivities/Events will go from 9:15-2:30pm that day!

*Klanderman Final Auction Day is Wednesday, June 3!

*Celebration with 4th Graders will take place in the gym on the LAST DAY of School.  We will share some cake around 10:45am and enjoy our last minutes together celebrating our 4th graders.

Greetings one and all,

Here is the important info for a Monday:

1.  Math:  pages 179 and 180.  Most were able to get done in class.

2.  Science:  projects are being finished for invasive species in class, but presentations will take place next Tuesday and Thursday.

3.  Social Studies:  map test over the western states and capitals  will be this Friday.

4.  Writing:  students are having fun crafting their own FICTION story.  I'd like the graphic organizers ready to go by Wednesday this week.

Greetings one and all,

Here is the homework for a Tuesday night:

1.  YAH!!!!  Celebrate, today was the final day of M-step testing for us.  The kids did AMAZING!!!  No worries.  Again, the state is targeting September for results to come back to you via mail.

2.  Math Re-tests tomorrow.  Unit 7
*Don't stress here...no one in the class failed, but several students were frustrated that they didn't score as high as they wanted, so I am offering a re-test Wednesday to all students.  Seems like the majority are taking it.
*Students scores cannot go lower, no worries there.  Very stress free.
*Tests WILL go home tonight, and be brought back tomorrow though, so check out how your student did on Monday and ask them if they are Re-taking it tomorrow.

*Don't forget Safety Patrollers that the banquet is Wednesday night.  I'll be there a little before 6:00pm.  Should be a great night.  Pick-up is 7:15pm.

3.  Practice Map test tomorrow over the West Region.

*Ask your kids who their partners for this project are as well as what their species is
*Friday, May 15 Research needs to be finished
*Friday, May 22 Projects need to be finished

2.  Math:
Test over Unit 7 today.
We'll start Unit 8 Thursday (Geometry and shapes)

3.  Social Studies:
Western Region is starting.
*Practice Map test this week Wednesday

*Friday, Fun event in the PM!!!!

Here is the homework for a Thursday night:

1.  Math:  pages 173 and 174
*We will also do a practice test over Unit 7 Tomorrow.
*Look for the final Unit 7 Math Test on MONDAY!!

2.  Students have been given their groups and the information they need for their Invasive Species final project for Science.
*Most of this should be done during the class time.  I don't think there will be much homework with this, but....if the group falls behind...maybe.

World Changers and Current Events tomorrow

*Social Studies Regions booklet tomorrow.  Most folks said they were already done.

Here is the information for a Tuesday night:

***Make sure you remember that Wednesday is a 1/2 day of school.  We will be dismissed at 11:47am

1.  Math:  pages 171 and 172
*Look for a final Test on this Unit 7 early next week.  (Mon or Tues.)

Several Students are still working toward finishing the reading goals.  Keep reading!

Our final M-step testing session this week will be Thursday from 1-2pm.

Our other world changer this week is a man who lived from 1874-1965
In 1953 he won the Nobel Prize for his books about World War II
He was the Prime Minister of England in 1940 and stood up against Germany's Adolf Hitler.

1.  Writing:  several students need to put a little time in at home to wrap up the Information Writing Unit on their unusual sport.  Those really need to be finished by Wednesday this week.

2.  Math:  pages 169 and 170 for tonight.

3.  M-step testing resumes tomorrow.
