Tuesday, January 5

Greetings again,

Good to be back in the flow here on a Tuesday. Here is the homework for tonight:

1. Math: pages 107 and 108 are due for Wed
*I have been offering extra credit the last couple nights for those students who are really rolling easily along with fractions. If your son/daughter is coming home with no homework they should be taking the extra credit that is being offered as well.

2. Writing: we are coming to the end of our unit covering essays
*The rough draft is due this coming Friday
*Final draft will be due the following Friday the 21st of January
*Before we begin our next unit covering fiction, we will be spending some time with grammar usage and working to improve one of our earlier pieces of writing.

3. Reading: Literature Circle Prjects due Friday
*AR tests must be taken no later than the end of the day tomorrow. That means the books were supposed to be completed over the break, but a few folks are still dragging along finishing their books, that should be done at home tonight!

*Drama Club essays are due no later than next week Monday.

That's all for a Tuesday folks.

See ya,

Mr. K

Monday, January 3

Greetings and Happy New Year!

I say it every year, and quite frankly sometimes I only half-heartedly mean it, but it REALLY IS good to be back. I missed this group. I loved my time with my family, but I missed all of you and today has been a great reminder of how good it feels to be back and rolling.

Here is the homework for a Monday night:

1. Math: pages 105 and 106 (due Tuesday)
*Unit 4 tests will be returned and go home tomorrow (these were taken before the break)
*Our new Unit 5 will take us through January and covers Fraction concepts

2. Read for 20 minutes
*Also our Literature Circle group projects are due Friday, some groups need to finish reading their books.
*Most of this project will be done in class before Friday, but some last minute work might need to be done Thursday night.

3. Drama Club notes went home today to those interested, there is an assignment involved withh that.

That's all folks. Again welcome back, it's gonna go fast from here on out.

See ya tomorrow.

Mr. K
