Greetings one and all,

Here is the homework and information for a Monday night:

1.  Words Their Way/Spelling:

Mr. Klanderman and Mrs. Fiore's groups is sticking with the same lists as last week, tests on Friday.

*Mrs. Braymer's group:

Peach Plains Spelling Bee Tuesday night @ Peach Plains gym from 6:30-7:30ish
Mrs. Braymer's participants need to be there no later than 6:15pm

2.  Math:

Page 93 only (all groups)

3.  Westing Game Quiz #2 due Tuesday (tomorrow)

*Don't forget...Lansing Trip coming soon on Thursday, January 29
*Note will be coming home THIS FRIDAY with DETAILS.

Thursday and Friday are 1/2 days this week.  School dismissed @ 11:47am

Snow Day!!!

But...if you view this post and do a little work you WILL be rewarded.

Math challenge:  $10 K bucks

Peach Plains Elementary School wants to plant trees along a 250 foot fence.  If the trees are 10 feet apart, how many trees do we need to plant?  There is a tree at both ends of the fence.

Writing challenge:  $10 K bucks

Write a persuasive essay in which you take a side on whether teachers should or should not require students to do homework on snow days.  Remember...five paragraphs, an introduction, three supports, and a conclusion that wraps it all up.

* If you choose to do both, I'll double the K bucks.  ($40)

Here is the homework for a Tuesday night:

1.  Words Their Way:  sorry I didn't put this on last night...oops.  Tests Friday.

2.  Math:

pages 91 and 92

*We did problems 10 and 11 in class, as examples.
Kiwi Group:  don't worry about the Stretch your Thinking on page 92, Mangoes and Papayas please give it a best effort try.
*Also, problems 2 and 3 on page 92 may be done in ANY multiplication method you choose.

3.  Reading:  Westing Game Quiz #2 will be due this week Friday.

Here is the homework for a Monday night:

Math:

We just started Unit 4, which is our Algebra unit.

All Groups Homework for tonight:

pages 89 and 90 in our Homework and Remembering books.
*The mangoes need to do all of both pages.
*Kiwi and Papaya please save the Stretch your Thinking on page 90 for a warm-up in class tomorrow.

New Reading logs went home tonight, so make sure to work on your minutes this week.  They are due next Monday.

Sorry for the lateness of this post, but here it is.

Tonight's Homework:

1.  All groups get ready for the Math test tomorrow (Wed)

2.  Science:  Study on Wednesday night.  Lot's of good highlighted material in the packet.  Focus on that, plus the vocab cards.

3.  Social Studies writing due Thursday, but there should be time to work on it in class Wed.

Only page 86 (1-7) we'll do #8 in class tomorrow.

Mango and Papayas:

We corrected page 87 in class today, so only page 88

*All groups will take a practice test over Unit 3 tomorrow and have it for a study guide tomorrow night:
*Final Unit 3 test will be Wednesday.

Science:  Test Thursday (vocab cards part 2 are also due)

Reading:  Westing Game Quiz #1 is due tomorrow (Tueday)
*Make sure you have complete sentence answers.
