Greetings one and all,

Here is the homework for a Monday night:

Math:

Mango and Papaya:  Please do both 73 and 74 (no #4 for any group on page 74, they're getting plenty of practice on the page before.  Student's may also solve the problem however they choose on problem #3 page 74)

*Kiwi group only needed to do 1-3, and 7-9, plus 10 and 11, on page 73
-this gave them more room to work.

Continue practicing patience was we go through our work with division.  It is a daily process.  Each day I have 1-5 kids who have the LIGHT GO ON, but if that hasn't happened yet, we have plenty of time.  Don't worry.

Science:  Part 1 of the vocabulary cards are DUE, Friday, December 5

Social Studies:  Map Tests go home today from the Northeast Region.  GREAT job.  No need to sign and return, just keep and enjoy!

Here is the homework for a Thursday night:

1.  Math:

*Introduction to division.  Some are getting it.  Don't let it frustrate you.  If you're stuck, save your questions for Friday.  Especially the 3 problems on page 69.

ALL MUST do page 70 1-11 that's just review.

2.  Words Their Way:  tests tomorrow

3.  Social Studies:  study map of the Northeast

4.  Writing:  finish your persuasive letter INTRODUCTION

World Changers and Current Events quiz tomorrow.

*COMPLIMENT PARTY NEXT WEEK TUESDAY.

Here is the homework for a Wednesday night:

Math:  We finished lesson 1 of the division unit in class today, so NO HOMEWORK tonight!!!

Words Their Way:  Work on your sort and words to study for Friday's test.

Writing:  IF YOU WANT...you may continue to work on your persuasive REASONS at home.

Social Studies:  Northeast Region map test Monday.
*Study, names/spelling of the 11 states, plus Washington D.C.

Here is the homework for a Monday night;

1.  Math:

WOW!!!  Great Unit 2 scores.  Unit 2 tests are going home tonight.  Please sign them and return them to Mr. K Tuesday.

We officially kick DIVISION off tomorrow.

Tonight for all groups:  page 68 only (not problem 18, we'll do in class tomorrow)

2.  Words Their Way:  new lists out today, tests Friday

3.  Social Studies:  Northeast regions test NEXT Monday (blank maps are available when needed)

*Fuel Up to Play 60 EVENT (Tuesday night @ Peach Plains from 6:30-7:15pm)

1.  Math:  Unit 2 Test for all groups tomorrow!
*Use H and R page 65 for a practice if you need it.

*Maps are now with students to study.

Here is the homework for a Wednesday night:

1.  Social Studies:  Make sure the cover of your booklet is finished.
*Begin looking at the states of the Northeast region (2-3 states per night)

2.  Lit Specials:  Find an AHA moment or a Contrast and Contradiction and make sure to bring that sample to Lit Special on Thursday

3.  Math:  We now have a practice test study guide for Unit 2
*Look it over tonight, make sure that Thursday's homework is ready

4.  Words Their Way:  Tests Friday

*World Changers due Friday

Here is the homework for a Tuesday night:

*Weather is changing...don't forget to dress appropriately tomorrow for outside recess

Math:

Kiwi Group:  pages 61 and 62 (no stretch your thinking, we'll do that in class thursday)

Mango and Papaya:  pages 63 and 64
*Mangoes need to do the Stretch your thinking, Papayas it's your choice, we'll start class working on it together on Thursday.

*No switches Wednesday, but students will do the Unit 2 Practice Test in class.  It will get corrected in class and be a great study guide on Wednesday and Thursday night.

Unit 2 Test on Friday.

Social Studies:  Finish your covers for Thursday
