1.  Math:  pages 97 and 98 for all groups due Friday.

2.  Words Their Way Tests tomorrow

3.  Social Studies:  Northeast Region Map Test tomorrow

4.  Reading:  Don't forget that Charlotte Doyle Projects are due tomorrow.
*Also, you have a Visualizing the Setting drawing to complete for your Adventure/Survival Book groups.

Here is the homework for a Wednesday:

1.  Math:  ALL GROUPS

pages 95 and 96 for Thursday.

Comparison Word Problems...which of two things is larger/smaller?  How many times larger/smaller is it?

2.  Words Their Way:  Tests Friday

3.  Reading:  Charlotte Doyle Projects are due Friday.
*We'll have 30 minutes or so on class to finish up tomorrow, but that's it!

4.  Social Studies:  Northeast Region Map Tests Friday
*We took a practice test today, it's great to see which states are still giving us trouble.
*Those should go home tonight.

*Reading Goal Updates will go home NEXT week!!!

*Tomorrow is our Music Informance from 9:20-9:45...Parents are welcome to come!

Snow Day Challenge!

This is a picture of Mr. K's clock in his basement.  He has nothing to do ALL day, YEAH, until his meeting tonight at 7:00pm. How long till Mr. K needs to get to his meeting?  By the way...the clock in the picture should read AM.  Gotta fix that.

$50 K bucks for a correct answer.

Here is the homework for a Thursday night:

1.  Science Test TOMORROW!!!
*8 notecards due
Study your packets, study your vocabulary cards

2.  Words Their Way Tests tomorrow as usual!

3.  Math:  *all groups pages 89 and 90

Brand new Math Unit today.  We began some simple Algebra.

For the most part we are simply looking at finding the missing part.  There are a bunch of practice problems on page 89.  Most of them are pretty simple, but a couple could cause confusion.  Give your best effort on them, and come ready to ask questions tomorrow!

We're excited to try something completely new!


*Just a quick update about the INFORMANCE on Thursday for Music.  Our time is actually 9:20am till 9:45 am if you'd like to come to the gym.  Sorry, I had told you 9:00am, but it's 9:20am for sure!!!

Here is the homework for a Tuesday night:

*Really, today looks very similar to YESTERDAY, so check that out.  Nothing new due for tomorrow.

Continue to study for Science Friday.  Plus, make sure you know where your 8 vocab cards are at.

Math Re-tests tomorrow!  It would not hurt to take home your H and R to review.  Plus, there is a Practice Test in your hard cover math book on pages 123 and 124 for extra practice.

*Be heads up...there is a Music performance in the Peach gym NEXT Thursday (Jan. 14) @ 9:00am.  The kids and Ms. Koedyker will share some of the things they've been doing this Fall.

Greetings and Happy New Year!

We're back!  Man, it was good to get rolling again.

Wow!!!  Your kids did a TON of reading over break, and a bunch of kids got caught up.  In fact, congrats to Emma Radley as our FIRST to qualify for the 4th Grade Reading Celebration this Spring!

Homework tonight:

1.  Math:  we're wrapping up unit 3.  Re-tests over the division unit will take place Wednesday.  Some of your kids may need to do some studying and re-working some old H and R pages to get themselves ready.

*No new homework till Thursday when we start Unit 4

2.  Science:  Test THIS Friday
*Magnetism and Electricity Unit
*Open notes, and Mrs. Braymers vocab cards will be visible around the room, but students should be working to study a LITTLE each of the next 4 nights!

*8 vocab cards are due Friday as well!

3.  Social Studies:  Northeast Region test NEXT Friday (Jan. 15)
*practice test next Wed with Mr. K for $$$$

4.  Reading:  Charlotte Doyle Projects are due next Friday, January 15.
*Most has been done in class, but check with your kids on this one.
