Here goes...

• Math: We took our first quiz on fractions this morning. A few students are bringing home a simple review of the things they missed on it.
• Social Studies: Southeast States Map Quiz tomorrow!
• Writing: Some students need to finish brainstorming their sub-categories for their informational writing piece.
• WTW: Spelling Quiz tomorrow
• Spirit Week: Friday is USA Day!
• PE: Mr. P is running Jump Rope for Heart during PE next week. Get those pledges in!

Whew! We made it halfway through our week! It's been great to see the sun, even if the lake outside our door is now an ice rink.

• Social Studies: study for southeast region quiz on Friday
• Word Sort: quiz Friday
• Reading Month Spirit Week: tomorrow is 'Olympic Sport' day

Happy Tuesday! Mrs. A here, writing my first blog (aka Mr.K). We're off to a great start. I'm positively loving the time I get to spend with your kids; hopefully you are getting the same report at home!

We had a busy day with the start of literacy specials again. Over the next four weeks all of the fourth graders will be moving through a series of reading/writing "crash courses" on tools good writers use.

Homework for today:

• Math H+R p.131-132
• Word Sorts (quiz on Friday)
• Social Studies: Southwest Region Map Quiz on Friday
• Sleepover Check-in: Keep reading! We are down to the final 6 weeks until the sleepover so encourage your kiddos to read, read, read!!!

1.  Spelling (Words Their Way) Test tomorrow, needs to be studied/review

2.  Unit 5 Math Tests were handed back today.
 *Sign and send back tomorrow
*Re-tests offered tomorrow.

3.  Social Studies SOUTHEAST REGIONS TEST NEXT WEEK for map.

*Jump Rope for heart forms go home tonight, check those out.

2.  Math:  nothing new, we just took the test today, should be returned tomorrow.  I'll send it home to be signed.  Retest chances on Friday
*New Unit 6 won't start till Monday

3.  Social Studies:  Northeast regions letter due tomorrow
*page 32 of the booklet has an explanation (we've had a ton of time in class to work on this!)
